Job Title: Market Intelligence Data Analyst Job Ref#: NB60339771EA Basic Qualifications: Must have two or more years of experience as a Research, Business Competitive/Intelligence, and/or Marketing analyst. Must have experience working with SPSS or SAS running statistical analyses such as analysis of variance. Core Competencies: - Associate Degree with course work related to Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research or Business or related area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. - Demonstrated experience working with data warehouse data analysis, and data modeling including conceptual, logical, and physical data design. - Demonstrated experience with project management tools to support multiple projects/assignments, including reporting on project status and coordinating activities to ensure timely delivery. - Demonstrated experience working with marketing and business operations. - Demonstrated experience integrating data from different sources. - Demonstrated excellent communications skills interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated proficiency with PC application, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. - Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation. - Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. Preferences: Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence reporting and data access tools (i.e. Business Objects, Access). Bachelor Degree in Finance, Econometrics, Business, Quantitative Psychology, or related field. Demonstrated experience working with SCE operational policies, procedures and practices. Experience working Marketing Mix Modeling and/or SQL. Demonstrated experience running advance statistical analysis such as multiple-linear regression and predictive modeling. Typical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be dedicated to on-going data collection and compilation, gathering and supervising data-gathering and driving quality assurance process. He or she will act as liaison with managers for internal data sources and outside vendors. Typical responsibilities will include: supporting Market Intelligence project managers in managing multiple projects by interacting with project managers, business analysts, database managers, and IT throughout Southern California Edison (SCE); working closely with project managers on all aspects of project work including preparation of data, model development (including multivariate, time-series regression using SPSS), interpretation of model results, and building client presentations; researching data using databases, files, spreadsheets, or other sources; preparing analysis and written reports based on internal and external sources; reviewing and updating reports, documents and correspondence; leveraging quantitative methods to assess the impact of marketing vehicles (pricing, promotion, TV and print advertising, coupons, etc.) via Marketing Mix Modeling; utilizing corporate and third-party databases primarily with Microsoft Access, Excel, SAS and SQL to provide various reports including program penetration, campaign and other analysis; and other duties and responsibilities as requested.
